- In an interaction with Business Insider, the MD of Dr Oetker India, Mirza was telling how 'difficult' and 'different' the Indian market is. He joined the globally acclaimed German food company nine years ago. Dr Oetkar had entered the Indian market like any other foreign food company. Known for its home baking, western dessert and condiments, Dr Oetker had introduced frozen pizza and failed miserably. However the pizza couldn't enter Mumbai city from the port because of bird flu menace and was shipped back. Then Dr Oetker launched muesli and the venture didn't result in much appreciation.
